happy baby's prenatal classes include a range of yoga + dance for pregnant mamas wanting to build strength and flexibility to help their bodies and minds prepare for labor + delivery.   happy baby offers a strong vinyasa flow yoga class + a prenatal (or postnatal) dance class for mamas who want to sweat; a gentle yoga flow for mamas looking for some exercise but who need something a little more mellow; and a restorative kundalini yoga practice for mamas wanting to focus more on the mindful + spiritual component of preparing for childbirth + motherhood.

In addition to several prenatal yoga and dance classes, happy baby offers a variety of workshops, birth classes, special programming, and resources to meet the needs of expectant parents in El Segundo and its neighboring communities.  Pregnancy is both an exciting and emotional time, especially for first-time parents.  happy baby’s expectant parent workshops help participants navigate this crazy new world of products, breastfeeding, diapering, swaddling, infant safety, etc. through expert-led seminars and trainings.

Our pregnancy-related services begin even before conception through our network of fertility support resources, including yoga and essential oil workshops designed to improve fertility.

Join Ana’s prenatal yoga class to learn appropriate yoga poses and modifications for safely strengthening the body and mind during pregnancy. Enter a serene and nurturing environment created to allow you to stretch and strengthen muscles, energize the body, and relieve stress and anxiety. This class will help to soothe the common discomforts of pregnancy and develop proper breathing and relaxation techniques, which are great tools to have during labor and the postpartum period.

Prenatal vinyasa yoga gives you all the tools to make your pregnancy journey the best it can be. Designed to both nurture and challenge you, this class actively prepares women for the marathon event of childbirth, while helping them discover the power and inner strength needed during this transformative period in their lives. Poses are adapted for the unique needs of pregnant women.

prenatal kundalini yoga

A pregnancy yoga class with foundations in kundalini, which uses breath, movement, mantra + meditation to nurture the mind, body + spirit. Kundalini yoga, known as the yoga of awareness, is a fast + effective way to clear the mind, energize the body + uplift the spirit. This prenatal kundalini practice incorporates rhythmic movements in conjunction with deep stretches + breathing techniques, specifically modified for the mama-to-be.

This class offers feel good pre and post natal fitness inspired by world dances such as Belly, West African, Latin, Caribbean, and Hip Hop! We also use yogic and dance stretches effective for this sacred time. Be prepared to feel challenged yet relaxed and uplifted! Birth and parenting can be like a marathon and Dancing For Birth™ classes will help you become stronger, more agile, and more at ease. Using birthing and parenting wisdom ~ which can include a review of ideal birthing positions and natural pain coping techniques, and tuning in to your body and baby ~ you will build your confidence in your own abilities and experiences. This class is a space for collective support while having fun and celebrating the beauty of womanhood! No previous dance experience necessary. All levels welcome!
